If you have been following my blog, you know that I am a strong believer in hiring a professional photographer to take photographs of my clients homes for internet marketing. The photos are the first impression a potential buyer will see; here are a few tips that I recently gave to clients in King of Prussia to help create interest for their listing.
In the Kitchen: Declutter! Clear out the unnecessary junk. It is hard to make a kitchen shine when it is cluttered with items from daily living. Clear out anything that you don’t use or need.
From the Front: : The research says the front of the home is the number two shot that helps it sell, make sure your pictures are shot in season. No one wants to see snow on the ground if the flowers are in full bloom. Potential buyers want to be able to recognize your home from the pictures.
Master Bedroom: When capturing the master bedroom, make sure the pictures are taken from the corners to show off the room’s dimensions. Also be sure that you highlight great features such as windows, built-ins, or other desirable features like crown molding. Remember to make the bed, don’t leave clothes on the floor and put away unnecessary items.
Bathrooms: Paying attention to these small details goes a long way, close the toilet lid, accent with fresh towels, and make sure you clean before you the photographer comes.
Living Room: There’s a difference between showing a space and showing off a space. A potential buyer doesn’t want to be distracted by your family photos or personal affects; show the space so potential buyers can imagine it filled with their belongings. Simple goes a long way.
