According to data obtained from TreND, Pennsylvania sellers who list their home with Long & Foster are getting a sale price closer to their actual list price than any other broker. “Year to date, our sale prices in Pennsylvania are averaging 99.8% of the actual list price versus 95.6% for all other brokers”, said Art Herling, Regional Manager and Vice President of Long & Foster. “The average sale price for Long & Foster was $271,249 versus $216,036 for all other brokers.”
In fact, the data also reveals that, “for all listings in TreND, regardless of state, Long & Foster sale prices are averaging 98.5% of list price versus 95.4% for all other TreND brokers”, said Herling. “The average Long & Foster sale price was $257,509 versus $212,331. This is for the time frame January 1, 2010 through August 31, 2010.”
The National Association of Realtors reported on October 4th that the number of people who signed contracts to buy homes rose in August for the second straight month. “This is really an amazing market right now, with unbelievably low mortgage rates-we may never see interest rates this low again”, said Herling. “If you are thinking about buying a home, this is a great time to do so.”
